A bit about me
Hi there! I'm Kirsten. In my spare time, I have made it my hobby to explore traveling, plan trips, and find special and often undiscovered places. My friends and family often ask me for travel tips and advice. I love to share my travel stories and inspire others to get out there and explore the world...and perhaps I can help you design that perfect trip. Just drop me a line.
My love of travel, nature & wildlife
Ever since my first roadtrip to the West Coast of the United States, I have wanted to see as much of the world as possible. I prefer adventurous nature trips to distant destinations where I can spot a lot of wildlife. But as the budget and two kids don’t always allow for this, I can also enjoy road and city trips closer to home in Europe. Going back to basic is however not for me. I appreciate a bit of luxury and design in small-scale boutique accommodations. And of course, good local food and wine to add to the experience.
My personal life
Together with my husband and patchwork family, I live in Maastricht, the Netherlands. In my free time I love to love to out for long nature walks, always tagging my camera along. In my professional life I am working in Marketing & Communications, where creativity, strong visual aspects and making people feel good are essential. Something I also aim to achieve with this travel blog.
Once a trip is booked, I am already planning for the next one.
